It’s not often that a mother and daughter are best friends and fast talkers at that! From the same creator of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel comes the tale of Lorelei and Rory Gilmore. A pair that lives in the unfortunately fictitious Stars Hallow, Connecticut with the crazy townspeople that it entails. While they are fairly regular, their circumstances and humor make them irregular. Lorelei got pregnant at 16 and moved to the small town to escape her parents. Years later they come back into her life and drama ensues. This show is lighthearted and easy to watch. Much like the Nora Efron movies, it’s a must-watch when the leaves start to change. I would highly recommend watching this one with a cup of coffee in hand and be prepared to Google some references as the fast-talked and smart show will keep you on your toes. Netflix did have a follow-up limited series A Year in A Life which we can discuss at a later date.
