Maestro

Leonard Bernstein’s life is an interesting one. He’s an accomplished composer and conductor and has a wonderful family. But that’s not enough. Directed by Bradley Cooper (who plays Bernstein) watch how his success (and affairs) affect his marriage to Felicia Bernstein (played by Carrie Mulligan, Promising Young Woman). I had high hopes for this movie because I know the amount of preparation Cooper went through for this role. His acting and Mulligan’s were so good. Apart from that this was a creative and visually pretty movie. Half of it takes place in black and white and the other color. Across-the-board it’s a good watch if you want to catch up on the award season contenders but I probably won’t watch it again.
