Nickelodeon was the only channel that mattered in the late 90s and competed with Disney in the early 00s. The work environments on that show are now being revealed as anything but magical. Dan Schneider (the main producer/creator of hot shows like All That, The Amanda Show, Drake and Josh, and iCarly ) has been accused of harvesting a toxic work environment. The other half of the series is the focus on how Nickelodeon failed to protect its child stars. They interview many faces that you’ll recognize/remember from those shows to paint the full picture.
This will be my first non-review. Things like this don’t get a rating. I watched it because it got a lot of buzz and I was interested to see what they would all say. Usually I don’t even write a review when I watch something true-crime but this one felt different. It was very well done but will definitely not be able to see some of the shows the same way.
