$10 for unlimited movies per month, MoviePass disrupted the entertainment industry getting millions to return to the theater. A model that movie theaters would later use. However, due to poor money management and leadership that didn’t care about the behind-the-scenes math, they eventually lost everything. With interviews from the founders, past leadership and employees, and industry insiders, you get the full picture of the company that started off as a good-intentioned dream and was twisted into a massive failure. For all of the crooked people who made it fail, there were far more people who cared and were taken advantage of. As someone who had a MoviePass card, it’s interesting to know what really happened to the magic. A good watch if you’re business-minded or just like movies!
