Trigger warning: documentary mentions depression, suicide, and emotional distress
Demi Lovato has assembled other famous/notorious child stars to discuss the pressure and transition from child star to adult actor. The doc takes you mainly through Lovato’s journey with interviews from her family but then you have other testimonies throughout that validate the hardship that is being a minor in the entertainment industry. Christina Ricci, Kenan Thompson, and Drew Barrymore are just a few interviewed people. While this was a good doc, I could have had more it could have been a series in my opinion. Yes, Demi Levato is great, but I would have loved to learn more about the other child stars. While there were no revolutionary takeaways, it was a good documentary all in all.
