Voldemort babysits a bunch of men who are voting for the next prom queen/Pope. Now that I have your attention, based on the book of the same name by Robert Harris, the Pope suddenly dies and the cardinals enter Conclave. They sequester themselves until they get a majority vote for the new pope. The immaculate cast includes Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow, Sergio Castellitto, and Isabella Rossellini. I’ll just say this was a fantastic movie, makes me sad I didn’t read the book first. Given the setting, it could have been more controversial but I thought it was well-balanced and proved that we all fall short. It’s the dramatic and tense Vatican movie we didn’t know we needed.
