Time to get out the popcorn because we have a showdown. Doting single dad Will Farrell and uptight sister-in-law Reese Witherspoon are at odds when the venue they book for their loved ones’ wedding double books them. What starts as a peaceful coexistence turns nuclear once they start going tit-for-tat with sabotage. From complicated family dynamics and unapproving mothers to an unaware gen-z wedding planner it’s got a little bit of everything you want in a comedy. Now does it dethrone Bride Wars, Father of the Bride, or The Wedding Planner in terms of wedding comedies? No. Is it the funniest movie from either of these actors? No, but it’s still pretty funny for a straight-to-streaming movie. Good choice for a night in!
