The Phoenician Scheme

After many assassination attempts, controversial businessman Zsa-Zsa Korda hopes to bequeath his business to his only daughter. That’s about as simple as I can make the plot summary. You follow along as the father-daughter duo travel the world and try and build a relationship. In typical Wes Anderson fashion, at the end, you’re not sure what you watched but it was pretty. I liked it but I also will probably need to watch it again with subtitles and the ability to pause and fully grasp all they said very quickly. Not my usual watch so I’m a mixed review but this was a quirky and dark comedy and a good choice if you already know and like Anderson films.
