Amanda Knox. The girl who murdered her roommate while studying abroad, or did she? Those who are familiar with the name and the scandal surrounding it have a general idea of what the show entails. But to them I would say you’re wrong. What this show does that the Lifetime movie featuring Hayden Panettiere could not, is show all that she went through during her arrest and the entire trial. Grace Van Patten (Tell Me Lies) plays Knox and is pretty talented. In interviews, she said that the real Amanda was instrumental in helping her prepare and understand situations. It feels authentic, and you will be reading for half of the episodes because it’s mostly in Italian. While there is artistic license and the entire thing isn’t accurate you still get a full picture of the event. A must-watch if you love true crime!
