Every parent’s worst nightmare, you go to pick up your child from a playdate, and they aren’t there. There was never a play date, and now they’re missing. Based on the book of the same title by Andrea Mara, see the twists and turns that unfold as a couple tries to get their son back and who’s responsible. Shiv Roy/Sarah Snook plays the mom, the intern from The Office/the insufferable husband from the first season of The White Lotus (Jake Lacy) plays the dad. If that’s not enough good casting for you, Natalie from The Bear (Abby Elliott) plays the sister, Dakota Fanning plays a fellow mom, and Michael Peña is the lead detective. This was a really good show. I binged the whole thing in a day because I just had to know what happened/what the twist was. I have to say, it’s worth the hype it’s getting. The production value is high, so you’d think this was an AppleTV show and not a Peacock original. Great watch if you’re in the mood for a thriller limited series!
