Project Hail Mary

Dr. Ryland Grace/Ryan Gosling wakes up on a spaceship, has no idea who he is or how he got there. As his memory starts to come back, he pieces together that the mission is to find out why a mysterious substance is causing the sun to die. Using his ingenuity and scientific prowess, he stops at nothing to save Earth. But is he alone out in space? Based on the book of the same name by Andy Weir and directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller (the duo responsible for directing 21 & 22 Jump Street, The Lego Movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and more). Okay, that’s all you get cause otherwise it’s all spoiled. Whether you like space movies or not, you’ll find something to like about this movie. You’ll have nothing but questions along the way, but they all get answered by the end. There’s humor, and like most movies filmed in IMAX, it’s visually beautiful. Just go see this. Trust me. After Top Gun: Maverick and Dune 2, I wasn’t sure if I would love a movie of that scale again. But I did.
