Sonny Vaccaro (Matt Damon) worked at Nike under Phil Knight (Ben Affleck) and wanted to make their basketball division better. In this case, it meant taking a huge risk. Affleck and Damon both produced with Affleck as director. Damon has said that this isn’t an MJ biography. This was the story of how the epic Air Jordan deal came to be. The biggest reason behind the contract was Mrs. Jordan played by Viola Davis (hand-picked by Jordan himself). This movie was so well done. Between the fantastic cast and script, it will make you nostalgic, want to watch basketball, and buy some shoes.
