Indy versus the Nazis! Again! Indiana Jones in 1944, at the very end of World War 2, finds half of a sacred artifact. Fast forward thirty years and an old Dr. Jones is thrust in the crossfire of an old enemy wanting the artifact and his goddaughter trying to take it for her own glory. If you’re an Indian Jones fan you’ll like this one. There’s action, sarcasm, cameos from movies past and just enough plot holes to keep you guessing. Phoebe Waller-Bridge plays his goddaughter, Helena, a spunky and hard to like archeologist. I love her but her character was not my favorite. Mads Mikkelson plays the for-mentioned bad guy and as you can imagine, he’s a good one. This was the first IJ movie not to be directed by Spielberg and honestly you can tell. It is creative and dynamic but overall it doesn’t feel like the others. As this was the last one, it’s a good ending and nice nod to the franchise.
