The Flash

Quick as a flash, DC has added another continuation to their franchise! Despite its poor performance in theaters, I wanted to give it a fair try. Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) is awaiting his dad’s murder trial hearing (he’s accused of killing his wife, Barry’s mom decades before) and starts to think, what if it were possible to try and save her? While guess and check is nice for math problems, it’s not for time travel. Barry unleashes a world (or two) or trouble and learns the hard way that the past is hard to let go of. Overall this wasn’t my least favorite DC movie (that award does to Batman v. Superman) but it wasn’t too great. There’s fun parts and if you’re a loyal DC fan there’s plenty of cameos and references to make you smile. Miller’s performance was alright and it’s a shame that his personal life might affect his place in the universe moving forward cause I would have liked to see more. Worth a watch if you need a superhero fix but not a “must see” in my opinion.
