My Life With the Walter Boys

Number of episodes: 10

First and foremost, if you’re considering a YA based on a book love triangle series, watch The Summer I Turned Pretty. If you’ve already watched that then continue reading. Based on the book of the same title by Ali Novak, Jackie Howard, a sudden orphan, moves from New York to Colorado to live with the Walter family of 11. Yeah I said it 11. And more than half are ridiculously attractive of course. Jackie is just trying to figure out life without her family when she catches the eyes of two of the brothers, Alex and Cole. Insert 10 episodes of teen drama. Donna from Suits (Sarah Rafferty) is the mom of the bunch and is maybe single-handedly the reason I kept watching this show because Donna. The acting is fine but also so painful. Like a Hallmark movie, you just can’t turn it off despite how awful it is. It takes place in a small town, there’s previous high school drama, so much flannel, and small businesses in turmoil, it’s actually the foundation of a Hallmark movie! It was a relatively stress free show and would recommend if you need something on while you do chores around the house.
