In the early 1980s, the Von Erich brothers dominated the world of professional wrestling. Whether or not some of it was choreographed is beside the point, someone still had to tackle. Kevin, Kerry, David, and Mike were known to be tight-knit and loving, despite their demanding father. Can’t say too much without spoiling anything but tragedy strikes this family and how it affects them is the story. If you aren’t already familiar with their story I wouldn’t Google just beforehand and just go watch it. This was an excellent movie, really heavy but well told. Zac Efron (Neighbors, High School Musical), Jeremy Allen White (Shameless, The Bear), and Harris Dickinson (Triangle of Sadness) play three of the four brothers. All have talked about the intense transformation they needed to do for these roles. This isn’t just a sports movie, this is about family dynamics and the love of brothers. Would recommend it to anyone who is okay with a little light violence and loves human interest. It will definitely make you hug your loved ones tight.
