Before you say it, yes I actually went and saw this movie. Okay getting that out of the way… Imagine that you’re a bestselling spy novel writer but all of your novels come true. Enter Elly Conway, a homely cat mom trying to write her next book. While stuck in writer’s block, she takes a trip to see her parents. While on that train, she meets a spy and another spy trying to kidnap her. Who can she trust and what’s the truth?! Also while she’s trying to figure everything out Henry Cavill (who plays Agent Argylle in her mind) keeps interrupting with his own ideas. Bryce Dallas Howard plays Conway and Sam Rockwell plays the helpful spy, Aiden. So this movie was directed by Matthew Vaughn (the same guy that did the Kingsmen franchise and Kick-Ass) so automatically expect silly and farfetched. This movie was entertaining and corny but wasn’t the worst thing I’ve seen. A pretty low-stress action movie pick for a night when you don’t know what to watch.
