Based on the book Masters of the Air: America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany by Donald L. Miller and produced by Steven Speilberg and Tom Hanks, this nine-part series tells the stories of the Eighth Air Force in WW2. This show has Austin Butler (Elvis), Callum Turner (Boys in the Boat), and Barry Keoghan (Saltburn, The Banshees of Inisherin) along with many more. It follows the friendships among the men, the intensity of war, and what it took to survive. There’s a fair share of violence but it’s so well done I can’t recommend it enough. If you want a good limited series to get sucked into, start this one!
