Maxine Dellacorte just wants to fit in with the rich and famous of Palm Beach in the 1970s. And she’ll do just about anything to fake it till she makes it. This cast is stacked. Kristin Wiig plays Dellacorte, Jake from Sweet Home Alabama (Josh Lucas) her husband, Laura Dern her kinda of friend, Allison Janney her nemesis, Ricky Martin her pool boy, Carol freaking Burnett her aunt-in-law and many more! The point is, it’s amazing. On top of that the wardrobe and makeup/hair department went above and beyond. This show is creative, witty, and outlandish. You’re rooting for Wiig in her desperate attempt to be seen and trying to overcome any and all obstacles. Great choice if you need a summer show to watch without the kids!
