Nicole Kidman (with her accent) and her daughter’s movie star boss, Troy Bolton (Zac Efron), try to date. There’s the plot. Okay, there’s more but that alone is enough to just go watch it. It also doesn’t hurt that the main actors are very endearing people to begin with so their having chemistry weirdly makes sense. Joey King plays Kidman’s daughter and her physical comedy actually made me chuckle. This was a cute and original movie that was refreshing from the other very cringeworthy Netflix original movies. Similar to The Idea of You with the age gap but less dramatic. Good watch for a night in or girl’s night!
