Sammy (Lupita Nyong’o) is a hospice patient who takes a field trip to Manhattan for the day. It also happens to be the day that the noise-murdering monsters from A Quiet Place 1 and 2 arrive on Earth. Instantly you’re sucked into how she survives (or not) the day. Along the way, she teams up with Eddie from Stranger Things (Joseph Quinn). Okay so I loved the first two movies and was interested with how this one would work without John Krasinski. Ultimately this was a good movie with just enough jump scares and a rousing game of “where’s the cat.” Lupita has a service cat who remains keeps up with them so really it’s the cat’s movie. If you liked the other movies you’ll like this one, but not love it.
