Trudy Ederle, the first woman to swim the English Channel, had to fight for her right to swim not just at a competitive level but at all. She faced adversity at every turn but never gave up thanks to her family. Based on the book of the same name by Glenn Stout. I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to be watching but this was really good. Daisy Ridley plays Edlerle and is very funny and nails the New York accent. Disney+ originals are usually well made and this was no exception. Great watch for the family on any night of the week!
