Dr. Diana Bishop (Teresa Palmer from The Choice, Hacksaw Ridge, Warm Bodies) is a historian working at Oxford when one day she gets a book from the library that people have been looking for for centuries. Oh, and she’s a witch. Next thing she knows she’s attracted the attention of a handsome vampire, Matthew (Matthew Goode/Henry Talbot from Downton Abbey), along with other menacing forces that want the book to bring an end to certain creatures. Based on the All Souls book trilogy by Deborah Harkness, watch Diana and Matthew figure out how to survive and save the day while, you guessed, falling in love. The plot stays true to the books for the most part and the internet is in agreeance that Palmer was the perfect choice to play Diana. This would be right up your alley if you’re a fan of fantasy or dark dramas and have been itching for a new British show to watch!
