Christmas Eve at LAX, an airline security guard is virtually taken hostage by a terrorist in order to get a package through the TSA checkpoint. Taron Egerton plays Ethan, the airline employee, Jason Bateman is the man behind the nightmare who instructs him, and Sofia Carson plays Ethan’s girlfriend Nora. This movie is similar to Phonebooth and Taking of Pelham 123. It’s a high-stress thriller that involves an average Joe just trying to survive bad guys that have pulled him into their plot. This movie will have you sitting on the edge of your seat and I really enjoyed it. There’s twists and turns and lots of fast-paced violence and action. Even for being a straight-to-Netflix movie, it looked promising and I would say that even my expectations were exceeded. Great watch for those looking for an action Christmas movie that’s not Die Hard.
