How far would you go to chase your dream? Based on the incredibly true story and autobiography of Anthony Robles, after being born with lonely one leg he fights to be a collegiate wrestler and prove the world wrong. Jharrel Jerome (who gained recognition from When They See Us) plays Robles, Don Cheadle (Hotel Rowanda, anything Marvel) is his college coach, Michael Peña (Crash, Ant-Man, A Million Miles Away) is his high school coach and Jennifer Lopez is his mom. This movie was great, very inspiring and gritty. It doesn’t sugar coat the hard work or the adversity that Robles faced and I haven’t watched a lot of wrestling but it was more tense than boxing that’s for sure. Great watch if you’re in the mood for a sports movie or a good human interest piece!
