Remember the childhood dream you had where you and your best friend would have treehouses across a yard from one another? Well, this is just like that, and nothing like it all at the same time. Miles Teller (Top Gun: Maverick) and Anya Taylor-Joy (The Menu) are told to stay in a tower on their perspective sides of “the gorge” for a year, each representing the eastern and western parts of the world. So like most ex-military snipers do in isolation, they become pen pals! It’s fun they play telephone, and Red Rover oh and have a common goal of surviving the creatures that live in the gorge. Sarcasm aside I liked this movie a lot. It’s completely original but not too scary and weirdly has some comedy. I like both of these actors so this was a no-brainer to sit down and watch. This movie has a little something for everyone; some action, some violence, a Russian accent, and whole lot of running. My pick if you want a good nonstop action movie for a night in.
