If you haven’t watched the first Den of Thieves, stop now. For those still with me, here we go! Another heist but this time it’s in France, Gerard Butler is after little Ice Cube (O’Shea Jackson Jr.) and wants to infiltrate his new crew as they have their sights on the World Diamond District. The real question is how far is the Phantom of the Opera willing to go for justice. I’ll say it, I almost saw this in theaters. I loved the first so I had high hopes for this one. Admittedly I watched this in two parts cause I couldn’t get into it. It’s slower at the start and runs over two hours but I ended up liking it. Creative crime movies are always fun and while this one didn’t have 50 Cent it made up for it with Ocean’s Eleven-style elevator theatrics. There are already whispers of there being a third installment (cause everything needs a trilogy?) so I would give this one a try if you need something fun to watch!
