Beast In Me

Number of episodes: 8

Everyone loves meeting the new neighbors. It’s someone new to learn everything about and make a new friend. But what if your new neighbor is only known for potentially killing his wife? Aggie Wiggs (Claire Danes, Romeo + Juliet) is an author who is anxious for a new book idea before her savings run out. While researching, she meets her new neighbor, Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys, The Americans), a real-estate investor who was cast into the spotlight after his wife went missing years before. Deciding to pivot on the topic of her book to her new neighbor, Aggie goes on a wild ride when the past starts repeating itself. Can she trust him or herself? I thought this was fun. Brittany Snow (Pitch Perfect, The Hunting Wives) is Nile’s suspicious new wife, Jonathan Banks (Better Call Saul) plays his dad, and Natalie Morales (Parks and Rec, Dead to Me) plays Aggie’s ex-wife. There are twists and turns, and you stay locked in because there are only eight episodes. We all know I’m a fan of a limited series, and this was no exception. There’s clarity and closure by the end of it, and in the case of this show, I enjoyed the stress. Similar to All Her Fault in the sense that you’re following the main protagonist the majority of the time and seeing things through her point of view. Great watch if you need something to binge.
