Freshman year of college is already stressful, but for shy girl Devon, in an attempt to leave high school behind, she makes friends with cool girl Celeste. After deciding to room together, they learn that being roommates with a friend is a lot harder than they thought. The cast includes Sadie Sandler (Adam Sandler’s oldest born), Natasha Lyonne (Orange Is The New Black), Nick Kroll, Sarah Sherman, and more. I went into this movie with low expectations, and unfortunately, that’s where they were met. I hoped that since it was produced by Adam Sandler, there would at least be some middle-school-boy humor to make me laugh, but it fell short even in that department. If you’ve ever had a friendship not work out or been messy, you’ll be able to relate. In the power ranking of Netflix original movies to watch, this would be far down the list in my opinion.
