This Oscar-nominated dramedy takes place in three parts. Primarily it follows Carl and Yaya, a young and attractive couple trying to navigate their relationship. Then we follow them on a yacht for a vacation. Accompanied by a wild (and I do mean wild) cast of characters, we see their trip unfold. Woody Harrelson is the boat’s captain and the boat goes into a big storm. That’s all I get to say at the risk of spoiling. All in all, I’m not sure I would recommend watching this unless you wanted to see all the Oscar movies. It’s almost three hours and it feels like it. Very slow burn but there are some A+ scenes, but again no spoiling. I think watching this once was enough for me.
