Rom-com legends of movies past have united to bring you a delightful new movie. Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher are best friends who spend a week living in each others’ homes. Sounds easy enough until the suppressed feelings of the last 20 years force them to decide if they really like each other or not. Ever since Shotgun Wedding, I’ve been a big fan of this real-age romantic comedy. Neither of these actors are spring chickens and they’re playing age-appropriate roles! Took us a while to get here but I’m glad it’s happening. Overall, I think this movie was very cute and original. Is there cheesiness? Of course but so is every “will they won’t they” movie.
