Buckle up cause this isn’t your grandma’s Hallmark movie! Ashley (Britt Robertson, The Longest Ride) was fired from being a Jingle Bell (I’m assuming this is like a Rockette but Netflix couldn’t get the copyright) and decides to come home to her Midwestern hometown for the holidays. Well this being a true Hallmark-styled holiday movie, someone or something must be in distress! In this case, it’s her parent’s bar. They’re in debt and at risk of losing the place when she comes up with the perfect way to make money fast; create an all-male revue, think well-intentioned Magic Mike. Naturally, the only men at their disposal happen to be very attractive and they all agree to participate. That includes her plaid-wearing love interest, Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill, Gilmore Girls, A Cinderella Story). This movie was ridiculous but that’s why we watch them, isn’t it? To further have 90s nostalgia, one of the aunts from Sabrina the Teenage Witch/Beth Broderick and bully Gia from Full House/Marla Sokoloff star as Robertson’s mom and sister. I couldn’t help but have secondhand embarrassment a few times but again, one brand for holiday movies. If you’re good with the absolute cheesiest rom-coms out there, this one is for you, otherwise, you won’t last 20 minutes!
