Well the Rock was a superhero and it’s just as you would have expected. Action-packed, a little cheesy, and has a subpar plot. So a made-up Middle Eastern country has been taken over by terrorists and a 500-year-old demigod is summoned to help. This movie is all over the place, like Pierce Brosnan being a future-seeing wizard. I wouldn’t say there’s bad acting per se, it just needed a better script. I will admit I’m a little hardened against DC but it’s not my fault they’ve given us bad movies. Overall, it’s entertaining but more “stuck on a plane flight with nothing else to watch so might as well watch this” entertaining.
