Since Django Unchained I haven’t watched a western that I enjoyed. Netflix did a great job with their first attempt at an original western. Featuring an all black principal cast, the movie follows an outlaw (Jonathan Majors) that learns that the man who killed his parents (Idris Elba) is being released from prison. Wanting revenge Majors with the help of his gang goes after Elba and his, consisting of Regina King, LaKeith Stanfield and many more. Like most westerns there’s violence, horse chases, trains, and people being punched over tables. Overall I enjoyed this one and Regina King did not disappoint.
