Episodes: 10
Ryan Murphy does it again. I wasn’t so on board with reliving the salacious event that is the Monica Lewinsky scandal but I’m a sucker for a good limited series based on true events. I knew the main facts and players involved but seeing the dates and events being acted out was interesting. Each episode is very in-depth and shows the perspective of different people in chronological order. Lewinsky has actually was a producer for this show and provided feedback and notes as the show was created. She talked with Beanie Feldstein, who portrays her, in order to give her any direction she needed. She watched all of the episodes with her therapist to properly navigate some triggering events. Like most things Ryan Murphy, the production value and casting is prime. Sarah Paulson will no doubt get nominated for portraying Linda Tripp. She’s almost unrecognizable between the makeup and her voice. Feldstein is a classically trained actor and it shows. She has been confirmed to play Fanny Brice in Funny Girl on Broadway.
