Next on my Christmas cringe movie journey, a much less complicated and more gay Made of Honor. Mark from Ugly Betty, Michael Urie, and newcomer Philemon Chambers play best friends who travel to Urie’s hometown for Christmas. Upon arrival Peter (Urie) is set up on a blind date, while his whole family can see Nick (Chambers) is the perfect match for him. There’s snow, a pageant, and Jocelyn from Schitt’s Creek. As I didn’t have to fast forward through any terribly awkward scenes, I’d give this “will they won’t they” a thumbs up.
